Toddlers celebrated Holi which is a Hindu festival known as the festival of love, colours and spring. To celebrate this, we had a lovely sensory tray set up which had the following resources – coloured cloud dough (sand, paint and flour) with coloured rice. Our main focus was to develop their Expressive Art and Design Skills by experimenting with different textures and colours. This allowed the children to engage in their own initiated play. With an adult’s support, this led to encouraging the children to develop their fine motor skills and engaged in emptying and filling.
