We have had a day filled with fun, excitement, and bright coloured activities in celebration of St. George’s day.

The Toddlers enjoyed making England flags using bright red and white paint to make the shape of the cross. We also had some sticking using glue and cut up coloured card which the children really enjoyed. We had some beautiful, coloured flags.

Celebration of St. Gorges Day. The babies made a very artist inspired England Flag to symbolise St. gorgeous victory. Using red coloured oats and clear PVA Glue the children were. Was used the red cross which represents from Saint George’s cross, the children were given options from sponges to paint brushes or their hand to create their flag. The oats brought the Element of sensory play for the children to experience new textures and also making their own textures with mixing of the oats and PVA. Every nation has its own ‘Patron Saint’ who in times of great peril is called upon to help save the country from its enemies. St David is the patron saint of Wales, St Andrew of Scotland, and St Patrick of Ireland- St George being the patron saint of England.
